NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK ROLLING WORLD PREMIERE
A comic look at existential uncertainty and metaphysical isolation
The Big Three—Religion, Sex and Politics—are the big targets of hilarity in one of the funniest and smartest contemporary comedies in years. Dick Fig is getting the hatchet from an unctuous HR pawn at a nameless university. His exit interview gets off to a rocky start when a masked gunman rampages through the campus. Downs' witty play ricochets through Brechtian interludes, a pair of politically-radicalized cheerleaders, a pompous newsman, and two German doctors debating science and religion on C-SPAN before reaching its surprising conclusion.
Content Advisory: The Exit Interview contains strong language and mature themes. Those who do not have a healthy sense of humor on the topics of religion, sex, and politics may find portions of this play offensive. Recommended for adult audiences only.
