| Cat on a Hot Tin Roof – September 25, 2011 A turbulent marriage, a family gathering, a terminal illness and abundant wealth set the stage for this Pulitzer Prize-winning classic. Set in the Mississippi plantation home of wealthy cotton tycoon Big Daddy Pollitt, Williams' work tells the story of a Southern family in crisis. When the family gathers to celebrate Big Daddy's 65th birthday, the reunion jogs intense memories and a shockwave of truths is revealed for a father and son. |
| Sweet Bird of Youth – January 8, 2012 Biting and brutal, lyrical and lurid, Williams masterfully unfolds his story of local boy gone bad Chance Wayne and his temperamental companion, faded movie star Princess Kosmonopolis, amidst a backdrop of small town narrow-mindedness and heightened racial tensions. Sweet Bird of Youth crackles with sexual tension and wicked humor, creating an absorbing play about crushed dreams and devastating failure. |
